Château du Taillan has been a Cru Bourgeois of the Haut-Medoc since 1932.
The quality of the wines begins with the vineyard work : pruning, relevage and rigorous removal of surplus elements are carried out throughout the year by experienced wine-growers. The family cares about vineyard’s managment.
Red wines come from a blend of typically ‘bordelais’ grapes : Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vinification happens  in stainless steel vats.  The fermentation process is closely monitored and there is strict control of the temperature and the wine’s evolution  as well as a daily tasting of the different plots during the harvest.  In accordance with Medoc tradition, the wines are entierely aged in French oak barrels for anywhere between 12 to 18 years.

"2009 is our famous vintage. It is heady, powerful and radiant all at the same time. This wine is pleasant for anyone". Armelle Cruse.
